Electrical Car Park

Transitioning to a fully electrical car park is an important component in our commitment to sustainability. At the moment, our car park already consists of 65% hybrid cars, and 12% is fully electric. By the end of 2026, we aim to replace the remaining 23% with electric or hybrid vehicles. To facilitate this transition, we recently installed additional car charging stations, bringing the total to 10. They are powered by solar energy coming from our solar panels, which were installed in March 2024. This ensures that our employees can make full use of their cars in an environmentally friendly way.

Sea Freight – Port Of Genk

Having an electrical car park is not the only measure we take towards becoming a greener company. Our mission is to reduce our carbon footprint even more. Currently, most of our sea freight passes through the Port of Antwerp. However, we strive to change more of our transport to the Port of Genk. By shifting our sea freight to a nearby port, we can significantly cut freight traffic and lower our CO₂ emissions.

Waste reduction

We are also committed to reducing our waste in several ways. Legislation requires plastic packaging to contain at least 30% PCR (post-consumer recycled material) by 2030, with the aim of reducing plastic waste. We are working on finding primary packaging options made from recycled materials.

To further minimise our waste, we use an in-house label printer to produce only the necessary labels, avoiding excess stock. Furthermore, we’re also aiming to reduce paper consumption by at least 10% compared to last year.

Being a sustainable company isn’t just a goal, it’s a long-term commitment. While we are proud of our progress, we recognise that it’s an ongoing journey. That is why we remain dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to reduce our environmental impact.

On top of that, we’re focusing on product applications in organic farming as well. If you’d like to know more about our several product certifications, you can read this news article.
