Location: Paal, Belgium / Asia

Responsibilities

  • You are the first point of contact for our distributors and you are responsible for the follow-up, technical support and tailor-made advice of the products to the end customer.
  • You understand the technical challenges of end customers and offer solutions that fit their needs and requirements. You demonstrate the benefits and explain the applications of our products or services at the customer level.
  • You build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers by providing regular contact and excellent customer service. You do this through frequent consultation and personal visits to the customer in collaboration with the distributor.
  • You provide technical commercial product presentations and demonstrations to customers and at trade fairs where you represent Roam Technology.
  • You are motivated to further expand the product portfolio, customer base and distribution network and in this way achieve and exceed predetermined sales goals where possible.
  • You work closely with the Sales Sales Support Team to solve customer questions and provide technical support where necessary. You participate in internal working groups to stimulate business development.
  • You collect sales performance, customer feedback on products and services, competition, commercial needs, work points and opportunities and you report this to the Area Manager at regular meetings.
  • You work together with the Sales Support department for good customer communication about the status of orders, providing supporting documentation or offering technical support.

 

Profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree (Bio-Engineering, Agro-Bio Technology or equivalent through experience).
  • Strong interest in the horticultural / agricultural sector & greenhouse industry, (water technology and/or treatment).
  • Thorough knowledge of English is required. Knowledge of asian languages are a big benefit.
  • Focus region is Asia – willing to travel regularly within this region.
  • Work can be done partly from home and partly from our HQ or sales offices in BE.
  • Excellent team player, relationship builder and networker.
  • Problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Commercial thinking and acting.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive and good organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently, results-oriented and flexible.
