Our Canadian water treatment partner SanEcoTec recently received a Letter of No Objection from Health Canada for the use of its Clean5, Clean25 and Clean50 sanitizers in process water of fresh and minimally processed fruits and vegetables.
These sanitizers are based on our Huwa-San technology and when used in process water, they provide a sanitizing wash and efficacy against standard food spoiling organisms, and thereby support the shelf-life of produce. An example: in a large organic herb greenhouse, the product was used in final watering of herbs before shipping. We could determine that there was an average increase in the shelf-life of basil by 7-28 days.
